He broke up with me...I can't fucking believe he actually broke up with me. I could tell that there was something off with the way he'd been acting but i never dreamed that it would lead to him leaving me. We'd been making so many plans, had just bought this house and were planning to spend the rest of our lives together and he just up and left me. He didn't just break up with me he left town and i don't even know where he went. I'm not sure i even want to know right now because i'm not in the best frame of mind right now.

So...in other news my big brother is getting married again..Even though i'm an emotional wreck over my engagement breaking off i'm absolutely thrilled for Chas. I was his best man the first time that he got married and I've agreed to be his best man this time around as well. In reality there was no way that i would have turned him down because he's my big brother and it's a huge honor that he would once again ask me to fill that role for him. I absolutely adore Acey and she's really good for him and for Alaina. She's really helped him in more ways than some people could ever know.

I have a tough time of the year coming up in a few weeks. It's what would have been the 24th birthday of my first love, my high school sweetheart Jaimie. Jaimie was killed in a car accident seven years ago last halloween. That was one of the toughest times of my life and i still sometimes have days where I really miss Jaimie. I mean don't get me wrong i'm happy with Wes and am glad that we're gonna be getting married but it's still tough to think about Jaimie sometimes. I know that she's up there smiling down on Wes and i though which makes me smile.

Our house is finally completely finished which we have Callie to thank for that in a really large part. She's really worked her ass off to finish it up for us and I for one am extremely greatful for all of her help over the last month or so and don't think that we would be anywhere near as organized with that stuff we have in the house as we are if it wasn't for her so thank you Callie.

[blocked from Wes] Ok so we're letting Wes think that the house is finished but it's actually not QUITE finished we have one more thing that's gonna be done. I'm gonna take wes out of the house one day this week and Callie is gonna hang a bunch of his photos that he's taken all over the house.

Best Christmas i've had in many years!! I loved the look on Wes's face when I surprised him with his family the day before Christmas. I'd had something special planned for his christmas present and knowing just how close he is with his family I knew just how much it would mean to him for them to be there when it happened. Since I don't think he's broken the news yet i will. On Christmas Eve I asked Wes to marry me and miracle of all miracles he said yes!!

I haven't been this happy in so long and i'm loving it that's for sure. For the longest time I was almost afraid to fall in love because i was afraid i would end up losing them like I did my first love Jaimie. Jaimie was killed in a car accident one friday night after a party that was thrown in celebration of a big football win. For the longest time I blamed myself because I saw her and her brother before they left that night and he looked ok at the time but I could have stopped her from leaving with him...Ok I need to stop talking about that or it's gonna bring down my happiness.

One last thing..Wes and I closed on our house last Friday and moved our stuff in over the weekend. The house is still pretty bare since we moved from a one bedroom apartment to a four bedroom house but we have plenty of time to finish furnishing the rest of the house even if i suck at anything to do with decorating. Ehh we'll figure it out.

If someone had told me six months ago that before even Halloween of this year I would have goten my big acting break and will have move to a small town I would have told you that you're slap nuts. I can't express enough though how happy I am that I decided to stick around at that casting call. Best and smartest move i've ever made let me tell you. I'd been here not even two days when i walked into the local diner and found the one peron I least expected. My best friend since high school Wes Harper.

Wes was the one that helped me realize my love for being in front of the camera. All through high school he would point his camera at me and I would pose for him. We were always opposites in so many ways. I was always the jock, the big man on campus, starter on the varsity football team all four years. Wes on the othe hand has been more artistic and the one behind the camera but we became fast friends. I never would have made it through one of the toughest times of my life if it hadn't been for him but more on that in my next update.

Personal History:

Ethan James Mercer came screaming into the world on December 31, 1987 minutes before midnight. If he had waited even minutes longer he would have been the 1988 new years baby in Trenton, New Jersey. He typically prefers to be called by his full name but sometimes he won't bit people's head off if they shorten it to Eth or E.

Growing up the middle child of three kids life wasn't always easy for Ethan. A lot of times he felt like his parents paid more attention to his older brother or to his younger sister. Until he got into sports in High school he always felt like his dad prefered his older brother more but once his football abilities came to light he felt like both parents were finally giving him the attention he craved.

Super jock. All through high school Ethan held a starting position on the varisity football team and was the team's star player. He had schools scouting him from almost his very first game at the school and by the time he reached his senior season he was fielding full ride scholarship offers to some of the top teams in the country. He briefly considered following his best friend to Boston and taking the offer from Boston College however he ended up taking the offer from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He could have gone pro after college however he'd discovered a love for being in front of the camera and instead he headed to LA to pursue a career in acting and modeling.

It wasn't easy for Ethan in LA that's for sure. Sure he managed to book a few jobs and everything but it took more than a year before he finally got his big break and that happened by chance. He'd been looking for a talent agency one day when he just happened to stumble into a room where they were holding a casting call for the TV Show Perfection. He decided to stick around and audition and the next thing he knew, to his own surprise, he was being cast for the show.

Jaimie Hernandez. Jaimie was Ethan's first love, his high school sweetheart. If you listen to the song "Clear As Day" by Scotty McCreery that describes very similarly what happened to Jaimie. She was killed in a car accident one night almost seven years ago after a big play off game. She had been a cheerleader and the team dedicated the rest of their season to her memory where they went on to win the first state championship in the school's history that year. Ethan makes the trip back to Trenton every year on the anniversary to put the flowers on her grave.

Wes Harper. Wes is the best friend that Ethan could ever have asked for. They were inseperable through high school and he's always been the one person that he could always depend on, a shoulder to cry on when he needed it. It was his feelings for Wes and the resurfacing memories of their hookup on graduation night that lead to Ethan realizing he is bisexual.


Personality:

Not your typical jock. Most of the time when you see a guy that looks like Ethan you would think he's your typical meat head jock but not Ethan. Ethan has a big heart heart and treats everyone with the same respect he would want to be treated with.

Being the uber jock he was back in high school and college you would have thought that he would have had a negative attitude toward homosexuality or alternative lifestyles but quite the contrary he has always had a very open mind about the fact and would always defend his best friend from any attacks on his sexuality.

Wasn't much for relationships for almost seven years. Until here very recently, when he started dating his best friend Wes Harper, he'd been avoiding getting serious with anyone because after the death of his high school sweetheart he'd always had the irrational fear that he was a curse on anyone he dated and he would just end up losing them like he'd lost Jaimie. Over the last seven years he has however had several hookups with both girls and later on guys once he finally admitted to himself that he is attracted to both sexes.

The two things most important to him. He has a necklace that was given to him by his high school sweetheart that he has yet to actually take off since the night she died. He has also forever immortalized her in a tattoo on the back of his left shoulder.
